My wife's story, married to me for 25 years now, sounds similar to yours. We were light drinkers, sometimes heavy most of our lives as was the rest of the world (Play on words) back in the '80's, etc, when things got tough in 05, when it started getting tough for us, she turned to the bottle and, her (our including: me, my then 7 year old daughter and 15 year old son) lives got turned upside down because her drinking escalated to the point where she had maybe 6 months to live. She started drinking Morning, noon and night. I quit and no big deal, I had to! I finally gave her a choice. Me and the kids along with a home or the bottle. I called her niece and said she's yours, I'm done and leaving the house. By the time my niece got her to the Hospital, as she chose us, she registered .55! Walking and talking! It is documented in the records because I know nobody will believe that. Doctors said she should have been dead or at the very least, suffered some type of brain damage enough to dibilitate her permenantly. She had to fight a long battle, painful trying battle, along with me and the kids watching. Sucked!! I have God in my life...big-time! Front and center, 24/7! If I wouldn't have, no.1 I would have kicked her to the curb but, I know of no man that loves a women like I love my wife....I stayed. The story is a book so I need to stop. So do you! Find Christ, Find Scripture in the Bible, find a church, find a sponsor (my wife?) She would in a heart beat! She could talk you through it. It is not worth it and it allows negetive "energies" freedom with your soul and your life and puts you farther away from the Lord. Please...for you-just put the bottle down before it is to late because, it will become to late, very soon! Your truly flirting with disaster. God bless and I will pray for you. By the way...my 38 year old nephew use to like to just have a few drinks, we found him in November in his new Condo, with a new job and school (college) and sober a year, dead from an apparent Heroin overdose. My Sister (his) mother, is not taking it well! There are people who love you, if you don't have anyone? You have us, you have God...stand firm, be strong. There are people who are going to need you in there lives. Don't cheat them out of experiencing the awesome person you are inside! No better time then now.....My name's John-I care
I think your bills are the least of your problems right now. You need to get into a program to address the drinking first.
